Tarusa Extreme
Description
One of the hilliest races of the Gravelcyclist season. The picturesque 140 km route runs through the Tarusa, Ferzikovo and Aleksin districts on the left bank of the Oka. We take on every hill and tackle the fords and ravines of the Oka's tributaries. Before a steep run of switchbacks there is the pontoon bridge near Dugna to look at. Riders going at an easier pace can make short detours off the track to see the Gothic-style manor in the village of Kolosovo and the mysterious church in Bogimovo, or try to find the second church in Voznesenye. If you want to finish faster, you will have to work hard on the climbs and stay very alert on the fast descents.
